    Thats a good one Jason. Havent seen that one before. I have this liver than youll ever be…………I think some People concider liver than …….. as one of the first ever bootlegs but i dont know if that is true

    Live’R was actually reviewed in Rolling Stone magazine back in the day. In the review which pre-dated the release of Ya-ya’s by several months, the writer called out for an official release of their Altamont performance.  Hmmmm…we still be waiting for that one….

    I don’t know if it was the first, but if as we have probably all read, that it made them release Ya Ya’s, I’m not gonna bitch.

    The vinyl bootleg thing is fascinating to me, I wish I had been in the know and collecting records at that time. I see the white label stuff now and then and I wonder if whats in the sleeve can possibly sound any good, and I just don’t know the bootlegs by name, some I know by city and date, but man, some people are real historians of the stuff.

    Oh yes thats the one i wish they could release, and the rest of the Maysles film Archives. And i know liver than…….was early but i think ive read somewere that there was a couple of Dylan boots before this one, but i dont know. One thing for sure, i like it.

    funny how both of this liver…….boot covers dont have 69 photos on them. I think Yours is a 75 photo and mine is a 72/73 photo. The bootleg is a 69 Oakland recording though 🙂

    the great white wonder (Dylan) boots were definitely pre-live’r.  bootleg recordings had existed in some form or fashion for decades before this era, actually. anytime you got a passionate fan-base who just has to hear it all, you’ll have a market for boots.  many of the early jazz cats of the 20s/30s had collector’s going after various bootleg recordings.
