Hope this is the right place to post this. I’ve got GA ticket for Twickenham ticket states 16:30. Can people advise about the time the show will start and whether it is worth getting there early to get a spot nearer the front ?

Just a thought about this amazing no filter tour. If they were just a 60s revival act they wouldn’t play with such quality. Or get Grammy and no 1 for blue and lonesome. I don’t take alot from negative reviews on iorr, however hope mick is alright and didn’t slip in the wet.

Guess it would be wrong to say the Stones nowadays are futuristic and innovative musically, but who cares, as long as the Keith guitar will play, i’m satisfied. Today i voted for jig-saw puzzle……….. and i hope they open tonight’s show with Citadel and not the crappy Start me up

Hi, firstly sounds like an amazing show at Cardiff. I was at Manchester, and thoroughly enjoyed it – a thought is I would love to have heard get off my cloud.

Also, I have a question- how does Charlie Watts get that brilliant sound from a comparatively small drum kit??! I was closely watching the band with Richard Ashcroft – and saw the size of the drum kit in comparison. To misquote ” Charlie really is the darling”.

It’s to do with the sound mix. Charlie is very high in the mix because he usually doesn’t play very hard. That gives him a dynamic range which he uses for theatrical effects. I can think of no other band that routinely makes you feel like you’re on a donkey. For Charlie it’s more about the pop on the skin than the thud from inside. He does hit hard when he means to. Drummers who always play loud are usually lower in the mix as to acommodate the rest of the band. They never learn to make use of the range that Charlie has by playing it light and turning it up.

I have some expectations for rolling stones in Berlin/Germany this summer. I hope it’s Peri time tonight, and i really liked the song vote list.
