Honestly I wish I could make the trip to the UK for the tour. As much as I gripe about the setlist and predictability, I love those predictable 1969/72 setlists.

Are the rolling stones going to play a small club gig? If so where will it be?

okay I guess “uncommitted” was the word XD

A club show would be in London and I find they should do it. When they struggled through opening night in Hamburg last year, they must have wished they’d done one before.

Yeah it isn’t so much the warhorses, as they way they sleepwalk through some of them.  (halfhearted solos, blowing the intro riff, backups doing the heavy lifting) Or the way, the audience participation segments in them became longer and longer and longer. I find JJF and Satisfaction tend to still deliver most nights, and Brown Sugar, Start Me Up & HTW can be allright except for those tricky intros.

Tumbling Dice, Sympathy, YCAGWYW,  Miss You (I’m in that camp), and probably even MR should be led out to pasture.  But that’s 4 of Mick’s favourite set pieces in that list right there, so obviously that’s not happening.

Yeah they should do one, but probably won’t. My guess is that they think they can slide through a short tour no problem, and the downtime since the last shows wasn’t all the long. Also, the club shows used to also function to hype the tours, but with the supply of shows being limited the demand is probably there on it’s own without much hype. Especially since each show could be the last at this point.

Hi I have general admission ticket for Manchester. Do you need to queue early in the morning for best spot? If so how early?

Hi, Nick.  I don’t know for sure but I do have some experience queuing up in Amsterdam in 2016.  My friend and I had early entry tickets for the gold (or diamond) area just outside of the pit.  She drove us over about 11:00 a.m. and not many people were there besides us.  After an hour or two, we went through a building and then started to quit up behind our set of turnstiles.  We were supposed to be let in about 4 but they hadn’t finished sound check yet.  Finally the security people started opening the “gates.”  Some people behind us or who arrived later ran faster, even though they announced “no running,” and still we had a close-ish spot, next to the pit.  If you get there early and are a good runner, you should make out okay.

For the London arena shows I have one seated or Lucky Dip and then decided to go for the pit and do the long standing in line bit in hopes of (1) getting closer and (2) having more room to move around.  Good luck!  Let us know how it goes.

Where is everyone?   Is this board dead ?   Came here from the other site.    You know – where your posts just vanish !    I came here looking for information on the rehearsals.    Our friend who runs the other place knows everything and refused to share any if it.     I had posts deleted , and I’m paraphrasing here, but was basically told to go to hell, and who am I to ask someone to share?  Oh, and that he does not work for me.

Been a fan of the other site since the Licks tour.     This is the first time I got a taste of th bullshit from over there.      It’s just too bad this place is full of crickets!!!!    Tour starts in a week and this place is a ghost town.

It ain’t quite dead just yet, but when you don’t plan to be at the shows, there’s zilch to talk about before they have played. The stuff that happens on iorr during tours and such has been discussed at great length back when we established this space. BV is a strange man, but you’ve got to be strange in order to do what he does. What he also does, he makes it perfectly clear that everything on iorr happens at his will. Not quite pefectly regarding the language, but he basically walks you through his reasoning. It is what it is. I like the community that is iorr, but I don’t see why there’s a need to ritualistically thank BV again and again for maintaining it. I don’t clap when the plane lands. The only personal thing I have against him is how he never really admits to how affluent and fortunate he really is.

I think that most folks who have a lot of money don’t like to let the whole world know.

Probably, that’s why I call it personal. He’s so exposed, it doesn’t work for him. His “humble trip” feels shallow, you know
