And please give us “slave” or “child of the moon” or “coming down again” or jig-saw puzzle or bring back some Ollie Brown to sing along with “if you really want to be my friend” or something. Surprise us, but whatever you do, please no Honky tonk or happy or it’s only rocknroll or …..they don’t work anymore, the magic of those songs played live is long gone.

Very funny interview with Charlie and Ronnie

“Charlie comes in to see me”  “…And then I get out quick and go in to see Keith”

Hi all!  Gotta be quick because I’m at work, but with the tour announcement there’s some new press coming out.

Here’s a 10 minute phone interview with Keith — some of the old interview warhorses (“we don’t pick the setlist until rehearsals….yeah right), a uncommitted response about a club show (I wouldn’t count on it), and some updates on Chinese Democracy, er, I mean the new Stones album (working with Mick on it in NYC this week…maybe out for Christmas). Always good to hear his voice, though. Listen here:

Mick phones in to BBC from Chicago – he teases the “rarities” in the setlist, which we know means “rarity, that they drop after the fourth show”.

    He’s in good cheeky form.

But the prize goes to Charlie & Ronnie’s Facebook live interview from London. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Charlie so frisky in an interview. That was great.

Speaking of Mick in Chicago—we have FOOD updates!:

    Ciao for now!

In contrast, Keith doesn’t seem able to pull off an interview without having to issue a public apology immediately afterwards

Is anyone going to London stadium May 22/May 25?  Would be “pleased to meetchoo.”  Lemme know.

    Wow. That’s hilarious Nikkei.

It wasn’t even that much of comment, saying he “needs to have the snip”.

    From the latest profile:

There is a new Stones album in the works to follow their fantastic 2016 covers album, Blue & Lonesome. Richards is calling from a studio in New York, where he is awaiting the arrival of Mick Jagger to work on new songs. “Mick’s great, we’re getting on very well,” says Richards. “He’ll be here in half an hour and we’ll be sitting face to face, making music, like always.”

and finally, some cool Keith shots from that WSJ profile

Thanks for all the clips and interviews guys, Charlie was very frisky haha, gotta love him.

So keith’s sober is he , another miracle , hope he keeps up the good work.

Thought Ronnie and Charlie were a great double act, pity they don’t do more interviews. Think we have heard it all before now from Mick and Keith.

So where is this album then ?? any thoughts.

Going to see them at Cardiff and Twickenham, got some really cheap general admission standing tickets, who says its expensive to see the Stones, £103 each inc booking fee. Not bad that, anyone else going ??
