    Mighty Close For Comfort
A fan rushes on stage. Unlike modern shows, the 1969 tour stage was low to the ground, and more than a few fans tried to climb up.

saw MT with Mayall on the second reunion tour in ’84.  at the show I went to – the Stone in SF – Albert King opened and killed.  MT was a disappointment…John had to keep egging him on to play….seemed like MT was a bit drunk and not in a good mood.  Got to see MT in SF a few times in later years and he was much better.  Got his autograph and had a chance to chat a bit with him after a show at Great American Music Hall in SF….very good performance that night…

the boots from the ’82 tour are awesome, including the Bay Area dates….they later issued a live album from the tour…
