As long as they are open to requests, I would like to see them come back and finish ‘Dirty Work’ and make it the fantastic LP it was meant to be. This time Mick needs to put his back into it and stop the nonsense…May 11, 2016 at 12:32 pm#47142stoneheartedParticipant
But the Stones barely finished any concerts in those days due to rioting. The article seems more like a self-serving publicity move to advertise the town — or the city, as they like to call it. Just to give an indication of what Lynn, Massachusetts, is really like, in the mid-1990s the kitchen window in the house of one of my pot dealers overlooked the Manning Bowl. The Stones are weak and can be cajoled into doing almost anything. Remember Rockford, Illinois 1981 as a case in point. I can definitely see this happening, provided they can talk Brian and Stu into it….May 11, 2016 at 2:13 pm#47144The Snack MachineParticipant
Wait…doesn’t the ‘Manning Bowl’ involve licking all the overrated cream out of a ton of Oreo’s?May 11, 2016 at 5:23 pm#47151May 11, 2016 at 5:44 pm#47155BreathParticipant
They were petitioned into a playing a show there. You CANNOT petition the Stones with prayer!May 11, 2016 at 5:57 pm#47158NikkeiParticipant
This could be a great promotional gag, though. Just get them on a small stage and have them play Around And Around, The Last Time, Satisfaction and I’m Alright. Maybe a short tour picking up on all the interrupted shows from the 60s. “Unfinished Business Tour 2016”
