Ronnie or Keith the first to drop?

A morbid question Nita but it’s something i have thought to myself over the years, who will be first to go and possibly be replaced. Well it was always going to be Ronnie, then he stopped drinking and smoking, ( managed to get lung cancer as a reward ) then after that Keith was going to be first to drop but he got sober and so now its anyone’s guess. All i can say is Keith must have stopped drinking last December for a serious reason, probably the liver was on borrowed time. Wonder how long Mick Taylor has, he looks unhealthy, he might go first ? or Bill ( prostate cancer) ? or Charlie ( throat cancer) ? Even Jagger could go first, a 75 year old heart can’t take that physical punishment for much longer, old bodies have their limitations no matter how fit they are, Mick’s pushing his luck keeping up pace with that stage performance of his, he could be using Human Growth Hormones and Testosterone injections to continue performing at that level to continue to extend his career , does that put extra pressure on the heart, personally i think its probable that he uses these enhancements or similar because its impossible to do what he does at his age without them. The Peter Pan complex could backfire on him, physical obsession and the lengths people go to fulfill that obsession can be very unhealthy imho. So basically any of them can go at any time now, it’ll be the domino effect, when one goes they will all drop soon after, no one gets out of here alive, not even the Rolling Stones, ten years from now they will have all dropped or be to incapacitated to perform, so enjoy them while you can.

The time is running out, i agree on that one, but no way Jagger is going to be the first to drop, he will be fit for another decade. And can you tell me what to enjoy? no new album!!!!! the 50th anniversary releases of Satanic and Beggar’s with not a single outtake!!!!!!!!!! The predictable set list !!!!!!!!!! Mick Taylor’s absence!!!!!!!!!!!The vault releases, they could have done better imo (Some girls live in Texas was epic though, and i also liked LA 75 and Leeds)(also liked the outtakes on exile and some girls)!!!!!!!, The Brussels affair bargain release!!!!!!!!!!!All the cheap boxset releases with lots of unheard songs (why no live boxset vinyl release? no security…live licks….shine a light etc)!!!!!!!!!! Let’s be honest, not much to enjoy nowadays except the nostalgia of once a great band. Well wait, i enjoy listening to old Stones records and buying Stones records to complete my collection, they treat us like we are idiot’s and i’m done with those greedy bastards, have a “happy” life all of you, and to the Stones organization, FUCK YOU

Well they are too old to give us more than they do Nita, its a bonus that i got to see them a couple of times this year, apart from Micks predictable setlists they really did play well and Mick was fantastic, they were all really good i thought.

We should get one more album from them, could be a good one, i don’t really expect anything from them at this stage, they gave me more than i could have expected since i got into them in 82′  i still play their records and watch them live over and over again, they were the best band in the world, ultimate living legends, its just too bad people have to get old.

As i say , enjoy them while they are still in our world.

Getting back to what you was saying earlier Nita, Mick being able to stay fit like this for another 10 years !!

What he is doing with his body fitness wise is clearly not natural, it’s cheating, and anything that goes against nature usually backfires at some point.

I was watching him in 81′  just now, he got really fit for that tour at the age of 38 and he was constantly getting out of breath, ( this at the age when he was jogging everyday to get in shape ) now miraculously at the age of 75 he never gets out of breath. Something not right there and don’t give me the “oh he does palates and yoga bollocks”  other people do that at Micks age but they cant move like he does for 2 hours on stage.

It’s a combination of a genetic thing (both parents got old) and a healthy lifestyle, eating, training, having fun with Ladies and it also help’s that he is not short of money, beeing able to do or buy whatever he wants . He is a Star and he like’s it. Taking drugs the way Jagger did it is not unhealthy for some people either.

Lol Nita, i give in, of course Mick was great in 81′ best ever, but he showed moments of tiredness and breathlessness,  aren’t you a little curious as to why at 75 he isn’t.

“it’s cheating”- can you please explain what you mean?…..and when did Jagger constantly got out of breath ? the only time i have seen him out of breath is during gimme shelter from Tokyo 88 when he is trying to get through a hysterical japanese crowd (solo tour),……..and about the yoga i’m not into it either, but if someone get’s anything out of doing yoga i think it’s healthy for them, don’t you think?? have you ever been to China? see what people are doing in the parks, i think it healthy for them

    out of breath???

healthy, or not healthy? mental, or not mental? hmmm…….anyway, i like the 3:44 gang

a genetic and a natural explanation. I must admit i sometimes have been thinking about how little he swet these day’s compared to the 70’s and 80’s, but maybe a doctor could have given me a natural explanation to why it is so, i don’t know

    Riffy.

I already explained what i meant by cheating, people like Mick and McCartney could be using enhancers, look at Paul in recent years playing up to 40 songs at live shows,   allegedly HGH is the new elixir preferred by the rich and famous , it’s kinda cheating when you look into it.

Yeah yeah Mick never got out of breath in 81′ 82′ well he looks knackered plenty of times in footage i have, i guess he wasn’t so good at pacing himself back then, but he was damn fit , i’m not saying he wasn’t fit or brilliant, because he was, but he never seems to have moments where he gets caught out now, so yeah Mick shows more stamina at 74 years old than he did when he was a fit 38 years old. Curious.

I guess he didn’t have the oxygen masks back then, Riffie 🙂

Nothing to do with oxygen masks lol,  HGH etc, but as a side, i was talking to some guys in Paris last year that swear they saw Ronnie taking oxygen between a few numbers. Didn’t notice myself but they said they were situated in an area that revealed behind the stage. Both French, intelligent guys,  didn’t come across as making it up to me. I got the impression Ronnie takes more than oxygen, not drink, maybe copious amounts of Adderall  or Ritalin or something similar. Good luck to him if it improves his performance.
