What’s the story on Blondie,  why did he leave the Stones, or why was he fired, Keith’s friends don’t seem to last long in the band, Mick seems to like to keep on all his chums though.

Me thinks Mick don’t like anyone in the Keith camp.

Does anyone think those rumours  were true that Blondie was covering Keith’s guitar parts when he was drunk etc.

Can’t say that i have ever heard any evidence of that, when Keith’s off there’s no hiding it lol.

Can see why Keith enrolled Chaplin,  dude can play, this is great stuff, very Black and Blue Stones sound about it, also nice to see Rick Danko enjoying himself before he ballooned.

Good one, what a band and a really good song. I think the Stones gets rid of people when they stop licking they’re boots (except from Ian Stewart). The day Blondie thought he was a stone he was fired he he He has done a lot of good stuff, me like what he does on David Johansen’s here comes the night

saying a 1989 orchestral pling plong midnight rambler version is the best Rambler ever is not understandable to me, It’s all about the 69-76 versions when it comes to rock’n’roll imo, the darkest sexiest most mysterious band ever playing this mini opera is just epic. The song came to life again when Taylor joined for a couple of years, it’s been downhill since……….and they know it.However how much i wish or wanna be part of the Stones live golden era, i know i never will. I enjoy every Show i go to nowadays though, and it felt like a dream came through when i got to see Taylor with them again. The Stones still kick ass live but it ain’t “dangerous” anymore or …… to put it this way, a stones live show nowadays is very predictable and you know there won’t be a riot at the parking lot……….when you need a little coke and sympathy

skip to 7:15  this is what two stones guitars should sound like

good summary, ‘Nita.  Without the requisite danger, violence, vomiting, rape, murder, etc…it’s just not as much fun anymore.

Interestingly enough, the inside word is that the working title of their upcoming album is “Sterile Garbage.” I’ve also heard they might name it Bongalong….

Ronnie or Keith the first to drop?

A morbid question Nita but it’s something i have thought to myself over the years, who will be first to go and possibly be replaced.

Well it was always going to be Ronnie, then he stopped drinking and smoking, ( managed to get lung cancer as a reward ) then after that Keith was going to be first to drop but he got sober and so now its anyone’s guess.

All i can say is Keith must have stopped drinking last December for a serious reason, probably the liver was on borrowed time.

Wonder how long Mick Taylor has, he looks unhealthy,  he might go first ?  or Bill ( prostate cancer) ?  or  Charlie ( throat cancer) ?

Even Jagger could go first, a 75 year old heart can’t take that physical punishment for much longer, old bodies have their limitations no matter how fit they are, Mick’s pushing his luck keeping up pace with that stage performance of his, he could be using Human Growth Hormones and Testosterone injections to continue performing at that level to continue to extend his career , does that put extra pressure on the heart, personally i think its probable that he uses these enhancements or similar because its impossible to do what he does at his age without them.

The Peter Pan complex could backfire on him, physical obsession and the lengths people go to fulfill that obsession can be very unhealthy imho.

So basically any of them can go at any time now,  it’ll be the domino effect, when one goes they will all drop soon after, no one gets out of here alive, not even the Rolling Stones, ten years from now they will have all dropped or be to incapacitated to perform,  so enjoy them while you can.
