Feel free to post something from this tour. I have heard a lot about this tour from my mum and dad who went to see them in Gøteborg,Sweden. Did they just play stadiums this tour? Did you like the Leeds from the vaults release? Was this tour the beginning of the end,or? Here’s a funny clip from Spain

I don’t think Chantilly Lace worked out well in 82. I have only heard it with bad sound though

Nita, we went to Buffalo to see them because Keith was still barred from entering Canada. It was very windy and Mick’s microphone smashed up against his mouth. He lost the diamond in his tooth. A dentist was flown in from NYC to replace the diamond. I enjoyed the concert.

their last true rock’n’roll without a net tour.  wasn’t as strong as the ’81 usa version, but it was the last time the stones were still the stones.

78 was very stonesy.  81 and 82 too. 75 stonesy but in a funky kinda way.  once we get to 89 it’s not stonesy anymore. what happened to the band in years between 82 and 89 will be studied by scholars and historians and geologists and petrologists for centuries to come.

I know you did. I just wanted to reinforce the stonesiness of 78. one of the stonsiest years on record…and tape.
