“Paper In Fire” was a nice progression for John M’s sound…

“Moonlight Mile” by the You-Know-Who’s” and I actually was there for this one.
Well I guess it isn’t a hard rock song but….
Opening night Zip Code Tour Petco Park, San Diego, CA 2015
This isn’t my video (I didn’t have a cell phone with a camera yet then) but the pic below is mine from an old-fashioned camera (obviously I knew nothing about “whited-out” faces)
pic is from during this song

“All I want to do is have a little fun before I die
Said the man next to me out of nowhere, appropos to nothing.
He said his name was Will but I’m sure it is Bill or Billy or Mac or Buddy” 🙄November 2, 2017 at 10:26 pm #72101
LIKE BUDDIES-BACK TO THE BARE BASICS
Ha! Just a second before I just now stumbled on this video I was wondering if the Stones have ever been asked to do an Unplugged version of any of their stuff. Then I come across this—from 2016 very unique–it has the look and feel of a no-cost but effective type of video you see on YT from amateurs–I’m not saying they sound bad, it’s just so “Stripped Down” that it looks like a DIY thing for unknowns.
For those who miss Mick & Keith’s singing together, you might like this.
The early version of Honky Tonk Woman from ONLY Mick & Keith & one acoustic guitar, 2 chairs and one video camera. No Razzle-Dazzle, NO COWBELLS..no costumes, no audience….nothing but them No fancy sound enhancement that I can tell. The real Keith & Mick sound. 2016.
Not to be missed if you wanna smile. 🙂November 3, 2017 at 12:19 am #72104
Rickie Lee Jones-only person I have ever heard of who would have the guts to unplug/do acoustic this Stones song-November 3, 2017 at 12:39 am #72106
Rocket 88 by David Johansen- a 1951 song that charted on the R & B Billboard but considered by some to be the first rock & roll song. With Brian Koonin on acoustic guitar.November 3, 2017 at 5:14 am #72111
Dedicated to Drake: Please don’t ever let these lyrics come true here on eoms.
“….but something touched me deep inside the day the music died.” (Just kidding-I know it’s not really up to you, it’s up to all of us to participate if we want to keep eoms music alive.) 😉November 3, 2017 at 7:49 am #72114
does country rock count? i was surprised how hard it was to find a ccr tune with an acoustic guitar-most of their country rock sound had all electric from what I could see on YT’s of their biggest hits.November 3, 2017 at 8:16 am #72115
it was hard to find any acoustic guitars for bob dylan’s “subterranean homesick blues”. all of his were all electric that I could see.
found this Alanis Morrisette with 2 acoustic guitars.November 3, 2017 at 8:18 am #72116StrongBeachParticipant
